Dr. Stapleton is an assistant professor of environmental chemistry in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. She is interested in researching the fate, transport and transformation of emerging organic contaminants in the environment and in measuring human exposure to these contaminants in indoor environments. Her current research focuses on the sources, fate, transformation and human exposure to flame retardant chemicals that are found in consumer products (e.g. furniture, baby products, TVs, computers, etc.)
